Hello world
The smallest valid skill: instructions only, no companion files, no dependencies.
Its job is to prove that skill discovery, load_skill, and code execution are all
wired up correctly.
Steps
- Print a greeting with
python -c "print('Hello from the hello-world skill')".
- Report the working directory and Python version:
python -c "import sys, os; print(os.getcwd(), sys.version.split()[0])"
- Tell the user, in one line, that skill loading and code execution both work,
and include the directory and version you saw.
If step 1 or 2 fails, say which one failed and quote the error — that failure is
the useful result, not something to work around.
Writing your own
Copy this folder, rename it, and change the frontmatter. Only name and
description are required, and name must match the folder name. Optional keys:
requirements — packages CUGA installs in its sandbox before running your code
arguments — named arguments callers can pass to the skill
tags — used for grouping in the catalog listing
