To-Shakespeare
Rewrite text with a few touches of Shakespearean language. The tone should remain professional and clear; flourishes enhance rather than overwhelm.
Inputs
- Source text — passed inline, from clipboard, or from a file path.
- Intensity (optional) —
light (default), medium, heavy. Heavy goes full Bard; light just sprinkles a few "thou"s.
Rewrite rules
- Salutation: formal greeting with a slight Shakespearean touch (e.g. "Dearest [Name]" or "Good [Name]").
- Body: insert a few carefully chosen Shakespearean words or phrases — "thou", "thee", "thy", "hast", "wouldst", "verily", "prithee", "forsooth". Use sparingly at
light/medium; liberally at heavy.
- Maintain clarity. The message must remain comprehensible.
- Closing: courteous and professional with a hint of Shakespearean style (e.g. "With great esteem," or "Thy faithful servant,").
- Preserve all factual content, names, dates, numbers, links unchanged.
Output
Print the rewritten text to stdout. If the user passed a file with --in-place, overwrite it; otherwise leave the source untouched.
