Constraints & Gotchas
- Authn ≠ authz: session validity does not imply object-level permission.
- Secret scanners miss renamed env files (
env.local, *.pem, base64 blobs in YAML).
- Logging Authorization headers, JWTs, or PII creates a second breach channel.
- CVE panic-upgrades without reachable-path analysis burn cycles and break builds.
- Security headers (CSP, HSTS) do not fix SQLi/XSS/command injection in handlers.
- Multi-tenant IDOR hides in “get by id” APIs that skip tenant scope.
- SSRF via URL-fetch features bypasses network ACLs if egress is unrestricted.
- Do not use outside Security engineering (route
/cat-security or /opgrok).
