| description | Read an engagement survey segmented — surface the team/tenure/manager pockets a company-wide eNPS hides and tie them to forward attrition risk. Reach for this on an engagement-survey question. |
Skill: Read engagement signals
Engagement is a leading indicator of attrition — read it segmented, not company-wide (§3 #4).
Step 1 — Segment first
Break eNPS / favorability by team, tenure cohort, and manager before reading any company number (§3 #4).
Step 2 — Find the at-risk pocket
Localize the low-favorability, high-attrition-risk segment; a company average hides it (§3 #4, #7).
Step 3 — Tie to attrition risk
Cross the engagement pocket against regretted-attrition trend — engagement leads exits.
Step 4 — Isolate manager quality
Team-level engagement and attrition deltas separate the manager/span effect from role and level (§3 #7).
Output
A segmented engagement read naming the at-risk pockets, the manager/span effects, and the forward attrition risk — with owners/dates on each action. See ../../knowledge/people-ops-kpi-glossary.md.
