# vscode
VS Code editor extension integration
## When to Activate
- Use **vscode** from an MCP-aware client
- Developer Tools tasks that vscode supports
- Register vscode via `claude mcp add` or `.mcp.json`
## Installation
vscode is an MCP server (stdio transport). Register it with Claude Code:

claude mcp add vscode -- npx @vscode/mcp
```
Or add to `.mcp.json`:
