Technical Documentation Translator
How to Use
Provide a technical document to translate (URL, local file path, or pasted content), specify translation direction (CN→EN / EN→CN). Translation result is written directly to a file with the path reported.
Translation Workflow
Read source → Term identification → Segment translation (preserve format) → Write output file → Report file path + brief verification summary
File Output Rules
Must write result to a file after translation:
- Output filename: derived from source filename
zh-Hans.json → en.json (CN→EN, use target language code)README.md → README_zh.md or README_en.md (based on direction)- No source filename:
translated_output.{ext}
- Output location: same directory as source, or current working directory
- Fully preserve format: whatever the source format (JSON/Markdown/YAML/plain text), output file is the same format
- Report after writing: full file path + filename
Translation notes (complete before writing):
- JSON: translate only values, keys unchanged, structure fully preserved
- Markdown: translate body text, preserve heading levels, code blocks, links, tables, all Markdown syntax
- YAML/TOML: translate only string values, preserve keys and structure
- Plain text: translate segment by segment, preserve paragraph structure and blank lines
Core Rules
1. Fully Preserve Original Format
These elements must remain unchanged or correspond precisely:
- Markdown format: heading levels (#), code blocks (```), lists (-/*), tables (|), links, bold/italic
- Code: code inside code blocks, inline code
code — do not translate
- URLs/paths: do not translate
- Commands/parameters:
npm install, --flag, etc. — do not translate
- Paragraph structure: do not merge or split paragraphs
2. Terminology Translation Principles

| Full name + abbreviation on first mention | "Full Name (ABBR)" on first use, abbreviation thereafter |
| Don't translate proper nouns | Brand names, product names, company names kept in original |

3. Sentence Handling
- English passive → Chinese active voice: natural conversion
- Split long sentences appropriately while keeping information complete
- Technical documentation tone: accuracy > elegance, clarity > literary merit
4. Verification Checklist
After translation, verify each item:
