Set SYNTH_HDL_FRONTEND=slang for synthesis unless the design's Verilog cannot go through slang; yosys's own Verilog frontend is effectively deprecated for SystemVerilog and its generate-block expansion can take minutes on a netlist that synthesises in seconds.
