Use when the user wants to turn an idea, a notes dump, or a session transcript into a complete agent-ready local project, or to fold new input into a project that already exists. Triggers include "turn this into a project", "scaffold a project from this", "make a project out of this session/these notes", "set up a new repo for this", "extend an existing project with this", "add this to my project", "continue the project from these notes".
Use when re-entering a project cold and you need fast orientation on where things stand and what to do next. Triggers include "recap", "catch me up on this project", "where are we", or starting a fresh session on an existing project.
Use periodically (session start, or after a batch of changes) to keep a project clean. Triggers include "tidy the project", "clean up", janitor pass, or an AGENTS.md directive to run a cleanup occasionally. Handles stray log/tmp files, stale tasks, dead memory pointers, and AGENTS.md index drift.

File something from the current conversation into the right project doc, then commit. The automation is in the routing: you decide a moment is worth keeping, the skill decides where it goes.
Core principle: route by what the content is, into the file that already owns that kind of knowledge. Do not invent a new file or a catch-all log.

Create CONTEXT.md or docs/adr/ lazily if they do not exist yet (first term,
first ADR). Match the existing file's format. For ADRs, only file one when the
decision is hard to reverse AND surprising without context AND a real trade-off,
otherwise route it as a fact or a task instead.
assets/, cite that source.git add -A && git commit -m "capture: <what>". The project keeps
everything tracked, so do not leave the write uncommitted.research/ note is correct.
