BGS Slab Tech Evolution
BGS holders evolved 2002→2010→2017→2022. Current holder shows full sub-grade panel on front.
Holder generation timeline
- Original Holder (2002-2010) — basic sub-grade display, transparent
- 2nd Generation (2010-2017) — refined sub-grade panel
- 3rd Generation (2017-2022) — slimmer, better corner protection
- 4th Generation (2022+) — current, anti-counterfeit + QR code
Sub-grade panel reading
BGS slabs display 4 numerical sub-grades on the front: Centering, Corners, Edges, Surface, plus the overall grade. The overall = lowest sub-grade (rounded for 0.5 difference). A 9.5-10-9.5-10 = 9.5 overall.
Holder integrity issues
- Early BGS holders prone to micro-cracks under stress
- Slabs can yellow with UV exposure over 10+ years
- Older holders may have 'foggy' panels if humidity-stored
Reholder service available for $20-50 per slab when integrity compromised.
Where this fits in the X3 empire
Sniper recognizes BGS sub-grade panel for cross-grade EV calculations.
