Packaging and Shipping Protocols
Sleeve → semi-rigid → stack bundle → bubble wrap → rigid box → tape all seams → insure + signature.
The standard packaging stack
- Card in penny sleeve (perfect-fit)
- Card+sleeve in semi-rigid (Card Saver I for vintage/raw; perfect-fit toploader for modern)
- Bundle 25-50 in stack-strap or cardboard sandwich
- Bubble wrap 2+ layers around bundle
- Outer box: rigid corrugated, peanut/airpillow fill
- Tape: 3M packing tape on ALL seams
Carrier choice
- USPS Priority Mail with signature: standard, $7-15
- UPS Ground: slightly slower, more rigid handling, $10-20
- FedEx Ground: similar to UPS
- USPS Priority Express: faster but rough sorting, AVOID for cards
- International: USPS Priority International or FedEx International Economy
Insurance & tracking
Always:
- Tracking number (every carrier offers free tracking)
- Insurance for full declared value
- Signature required on delivery
- Save tracking + receipt + photos of submission package contents
