Lead B status (Matt) — tailnet pull
Matt serves a status surface for his side of the ZW→VIP consolidation
sprint at:

same content. Always use the text form — it is the whole board, cheaply.
It is reachable over the CloudWarriors tailnet (tailcc6c5f.ts.net) from
Chad's machine. It is his self-published surface — read-only to us. Only
/zw-migration answers; /, /admin, /api and the raw upstream path all
404 (verified independently 2026-07-29 from Chad's node).

The distinction is the point. "No answer" has several causes with
opposite implications, and reporting an unreachable endpoint as a lane
status is how a teammate gets misrepresented.
Status history, kept because the diagnosis is reusable. Through
2026-07-29 the endpoint returned NO_SERVICE while Lead B reported the publish
path as UP — so "he says it's live" was not evidence it was, and the state
distinction earned its keep. It went live late 2026-07-29 and Chad's node
verified 200 / 9,103B independently. Root cause was Tailscale's own
ShieldsUp preference on Matt's node: block-incoming inside the tunnel
extension, beneath the OS firewall and above every listener, so tailscale serve was correctly configured the entire time and nothing it did was
observable. Add that to the checklist before re-deriving a serve config —
tailscale debug prefs | grep -i shields on the SERVING node.
Probe before reporting (seven attempts, all connection-refused 000,
while tailscale ping answered in ~101ms on a direct connection):

000 everywhere + a healthy tailnet ping means nothing is listening on
the tailnet interface. The usual cause is a server bound to 127.0.0.1
with tailscale serve not running or not proxying to it — a localhost
server is invisible over the tailnet however right the URL is. Report the
probe, not a conclusion about his lane.
Reconcile before you trust it
A published status surface is a snapshot that can go stale — the same
failure mode that made a shared dashboard necessary in this sprint (two
old planning-doc lines were read as current, and the sprint frontend
silently pointed at dev2 with nothing in a diff to catch it).
So treat the endpoint as a claim, and the repo as authority:

If the endpoint and the repo disagree, the repo wins and the
disagreement itself is worth telling him about.
What Lead B owns (context for reading the payload)
Experience/integration lane: M03.x (M03.3 → M03.2 → M03.4), M13.1,
M15.4, M16.1. Cross-lane triggers to watch for:
- M03.4 green → the integration checkpoint for Lead A's M09.1 (real
brand context replaces the experience shim). Matt flags this.
- Gate 20 (frontend suite in the battery) — agreed with a 2-week
quarantine; wire-in was conditioned on his M03.3/M03.2 landings
staying green.
- M03.1 host-map activation — requires one more adversarial review
pass before
