| description | Perform a structured accessibility audit of a product experience or implementation and produce prioritized remediation guidance. |
Accessibility Audit
Use for UI reviews, release checks, accessibility complaints, or design/implementation validation.
Procedure
- Establish the user flow, supported platforms, and applicable accessibility target.
- Review semantic structure, keyboard access, focus behavior, labels/names, state announcements, contrast, motion, zoom/reflow, error handling, and non-text content.
- Test critical flows with keyboard-only interaction and, where available, representative assistive technology.
- Distinguish automated findings from manually verified barriers.
- Record each issue with location, affected user capability, severity, reproduction steps, expected behavior, and recommended remediation.
- Re-test corrected critical paths before closing the review.
Quality gate
Findings must be reproducible and actionable. Do not treat a scanner score as proof of accessibility.
