# Agent Skills A collection of skills for AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, etc.) to enhance their capabilities when working with specific frameworks and platforms. ## Available Skills | Skill | Description | Status | |-------|-------------|--------| | [Globe](skills/globe/) | Deploy Dart/Flutter apps to Globe.dev serverless platform | Ready | ## What Are Skills? Skills are structured knowledge packages that give AI coding agents domain-specific expertise. When installed, agents can: - Provide accurate, up-to-date guidance for specific tools/platforms - Follow best practices and avoid common pitfalls - Access detailed reference documentation on demand - Run validation scripts and other utilities ## Installation These skills follow the [Agent Skills](https://agentskills.io) open standard and work across multiple AI coding agents. ### Quick Start First, clone or download the repository: ```bash # Clone the repository git clone https://github.com/invertase/agent-skills.git cd agent-skills # Or download a specific skill directly curl -L https://github.com/invertase/agent-skills/archive/refs/heads/main.zip -o agent-skills.zip unzip agent-skills.zip cd agent-skills-main ``` Then copy the skill to your agent's skills directory (see below for each agent). ### Claude Code ```bash # Personal scope (all your projects) mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills cp -r skills/globe ~/.claude/skills/ # Or project scope (shared via repository) mkdir -p .claude/skills cp -r skills/globe .claude/skills/ ``` After installation, start a new Claude Code session. The skill activates automatically when you ask relevant questions. ### OpenAI Codex ```bash # User scope (all projects) mkdir -p ~/.codex/skills cp -r skills/globe ~/.codex/skills/ # Or repository scope (shared with team) mkdir -p .codex/skills cp -r skills/globe .codex/skills/ ``` Invoke explicitly with `$globe` or let Codex activate implicitly based on your task. ### GitHub Copilot Works with Copilot coding agent, GitHub Copilot CLI, and VS Code Insiders agent mode. ```bash # Project scope (repository-specific) mkdir -p .github/skills cp -r skills/globe .github/skills/ # Or personal scope (shared across projects, CLI and coding agent only) mkdir -p ~/.copilot/skills cp -r skills/globe ~/.copilot/skills/ ``` Copilot also reads from `.claude/skills/` and `~/.claude/skills/` for compatibility. Skills activate automatically based on your prompt and the skill description. ### Cursor Cursor supports the Agent Skills standard (requires Nightly channel): ```bash # User scope (all projects) mkdir -p ~/.cursor/skills cp -r skills/globe ~/.cursor/skills/ # Or repository scope (shared with team) mkdir -p .cursor/skills cp -r skills/globe .cursor/skills/ ``` Cursor also reads from `~/.claude/skills/` for compatibility. Invoke with `/globe` or let Agent decide automatically. ### Cline Cline supports the Agent Skills standard (requires enabling Skills in Settings → Features). ```bash # Global scope (all projects) # macOS/Linux: mkdir -p ~/.cline/skills cp -r skills/globe ~/.cline/skills/ # Windows: # mkdir C:\Users\USERNAME\.cline\skills # Copy skills/globe to C:\Users\USERNAME\.cline\skills\ # Or project scope (shared via repository) mkdir -p .cline/skills cp -r skills/globe .cline/skills/ ``` Cline also reads from `.claude/skills/` for Claude Code compatibility. Skills activate automatically when your request matches the skill description. ### Windsurf ```bash # Global scope (all projects) mkdir -p ~/.codeium/windsurf/skills cp -r skills/globe ~/.codeium/windsurf/skills/ # Or workspace scope (project-specific) mkdir -p .windsurf/skills cp -r skills/globe .windsurf/skills/ ``` Skills activate automatically via progressive disclosure, or invoke manually with `@globe` in Cascade. ### Other Agents Most agents supporting the Agent Skills standard can use these skills. Copy the skill folder to your agent's skills directory, or copy `SKILL.md` to your agent's rules/instructions location. ## Verifying Installation After installing a skill, test it by asking your agent a relevant question: ``` "How do I deploy a Dart Frog app to Globe?" ``` The agent should provide specific, detailed guidance rather than generic advice. ## Skill Structure Each skill follows this structure: ``` skills/{skill-name}/ ├── README.md # Skill documentation (you're reading one now) ├── SKILL.md # Main skill content (loaded by agents) ├── references/ # Detailed documentation (loaded on demand) └── scripts/ # Utility scripts (optional) ``` ## Contributing See [AGENTS.md](AGENTS.md) for guidelines on creating new skills. ## License MIT
