# Laser preflight
1. Read [references/preflight.md](references/preflight.md).
2. Run `scripts/laser-preflight preflight JOB_DIR`; add `--production` only when a production claim is requested.
3. Treat every critical finding as blocking. Do not weaken checks to make a job pass.
4. Review `preflight.json`, `preflight.md`, `review/geometry.png`, `review/stock-placement.png`, and `review/operations.csv`.
5. State whether the package is design-only or production-ready and list the evidence needed to clear each blocker.
6. Rerun after every source, operation, material, profile, recipe, or compensation change.
