# @clawdbot/contacts AI-powered unified contact management for Clawdbot with relationship tracking, entity resolution, and multi-platform sync. ## Features - **Multi-platform contact sync**: Email, WhatsApp, Discord, Slack, and more - **Entity resolution**: Automatic duplicate detection and merging - **Relationship tracking**: Granovetter-based relationship strength calculation - **Dunbar-number tiers**: Automatic categorization (inner circle → acquaintance) - **Semantic search**: ChromaDB-powered natural language search - **Graph queries**: Neo4j-powered relationship graph (degrees of separation, who knows who) - **Interaction tracking**: TimescaleDB-powered activity history - **AI suggestions**: Smart recommendations for reconnecting, introductions, etc. ## Installation ```bash npm install @clawdbot/contacts ``` ## Quick Start ```typescript import { ContactSkill } from '@clawdbot/contacts'; const skill = new ContactSkill({ chromaUrl: 'http://localhost:8000', neo4j: { uri: 'bolt://localhost:7687', username: 'neo4j', password: 'password', }, timescale: { host: 'localhost', port: 5432, database: 'clawdbot', user: 'clawdbot', password: 'password', }, }); await skill.initialize(); // Add a contact const result = await skill.add({ givenName: 'John', familyName: 'Doe', organization: 'Acme Corp', identifiers: [{ type: 'email', value: 'john@acme.com', source: 'manual', }], source: 'manual', }); // Semantic search const search = await skill.search('engineers at Acme'); // Create relationships await skill.relate(contact1Id, contact2Id, 'colleague', { label: 'team lead', context: ['same project'], }); // Find degrees of separation const path = await skill.findDegreesOfSeparation(aliceId, bobId); console.log(`${path.data?.degrees} degrees of separation`); // Get stale contacts (not talked to in 30 days) const stale = await skill.getStaleContacts(30); // Close connections await skill.close(); ``` ## Database Requirements ### ChromaDB (Semantic Search) ```bash # Run ChromaDB server docker run -p 8000:8000 chromadb/chroma ``` ### Neo4j (Graph Queries) ```bash # Run Neo4j docker run -p 7474:7474 -p 7687:7687 \ -e NEO4J_AUTH=neo4j/password \ neo4j:latest ``` ### TimescaleDB (Interaction Tracking) ```bash # Run TimescaleDB docker run -p 5432:5432 \ -e POSTGRES_USER=clawdbot \ -e POSTGRES_PASSWORD=password \ -e POSTGRES_DB=clawdbot \ timescale/timescaledb:latest-pg16 ``` ## API ### Contact Management - `add(input)` - Create a new contact - `list(options)` - List contacts with filtering - `view(contactId)` - View a contact with details - `edit(contactId, updates)` - Update a contact - `delete(contactId)` - Delete a contact - `search(query, options)` - Semantic search - `find(type, value)` - Find by identifier ### Relationships - `relate(sourceId, targetId, type, options)` - Create relationship - `network(contactId)` - Get contact's network ### Graph Queries (Neo4j) - `findDegreesOfSeparation(id1, id2)` - Find path between contacts - `whoKnows(contactId, depth)` - Find who knows a contact - `getMutualConnections(id1, id2)` - Find mutual connections ### Interaction Tracking (TimescaleDB) - `recordView(contactId)` - Record that a contact was viewed - `getStaleContacts(days)` - Get contacts not interacted with - `getInteractionHistory(contactId, options)` - Get interaction history ### AI Features - `suggest()` - Get AI suggestions - `triage()` - Smart triage of contacts - `analyze(contactId)` - Analyze a contact ### Sync - `sync(platform?)` - Sync from platform(s) - `reindex()` - Reindex all contacts in ChromaDB - `syncToGraph()` - Sync all contacts to Neo4j ## Environment Variables See `.env.example` for all configuration options: ```bash # ChromaDB CHROMA_URL=http://localhost:8000 # Neo4j NEO4J_URI=bolt://localhost:7687 NEO4J_USER=neo4j NEO4J_PASSWORD=your_password_here # TimescaleDB TIMESCALE_HOST=localhost TIMESCALE_PORT=5432 TIMESCALE_DATABASE=clawdbot TIMESCALE_USER=clawdbot TIMESCALE_PASSWORD=your_password_here ``` ## Development ```bash # Install dependencies npm install # Build npm run build # Test npm test # Watch mode npm run dev ``` ## Architecture ``` ┌─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐ │ ContactSkill │ ├─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┤ │ ┌─────────────┐ ┌─────────────┐ ┌─────────────────────────┐ │ │ │ Storage │ │ Services │ │ Adapters │ │ │ │ (SQLite) │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ • Entity │ │ • Email │ │ │ │ • Contacts │ │ Resolution│ │ • WhatsApp │ │ │ │ • Relations │ │ • Relation │ │ • Discord │ │ │ │ • Interacts │ │ Engine │ │ • Slack │ │ │ └─────────────┘ │ • AI Service│ └─────────────────────────┘ │ │ │ │ │ │ ┌─────────────┐ └─────────────┘ ┌─────────────────────────┐ │ │ │ ChromaDB │ │ Neo4j │ │ │ │ (Semantic │ │ (Graph Queries) │ │ │ │ Search) │ │ │ │ │ └─────────────┘ │ • Degrees of separation │ │ │ │ • Who knows who │ │ │ ┌─────────────────────────────┐ │ • Mutual connections │ │ │ │ TimescaleDB │ └─────────────────────────┘ │ │ │ (Interaction Tracking) │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ • View/Message/Call history │ │ │ │ • Stale contact detection │ │ │ │ • Time-series analytics │ │ │ └─────────────────────────────┘ │ └─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ ``` ## License MIT
