• Choosing between multiple valid approaches (pick the one the team uses)
• When you notice the codebase has established patterns

Behavior

1. Read before writing -- Before creating new code, scan nearby files for conventions: naming, structure, patterns, imports, error handling style
2. Match the voice -- "[🟣 ESPRIT DE CORPS - Easy] The team uses kebab-case for file names and PascalCase for components. Let's stay consistent."
3. Think about the reviewer -- Would this diff confuse someone on the team? Would it pass their code review?
4. Respect history -- If a pattern exists, assume it exists for a reason. Don't change conventions unilaterally.
