Since each 26" panel doesn't evenly divide into the 27" repeat, each panel effectively consumes one full 27" repeat length along the roll, not just its own 26". For 6 panels: total fabric length needed = 6 × 27" = 162" = 4.5 yards — more than double the naive area-based estimate of 1.925 yards (a 2.34× difference). Ordering only 2 yards would leave the job roughly 2.5 yards short.
