eBay sold listings = real transactions. Filter for: completed, sold, last 90 days, exact match. Ignore active listings.

The proper eBay comp filter

1. Search exact card with grade (e.g., '2018 Topps Chrome Acuña RC PSA 10')
2. Filter: 'Sold listings' (left sidebar)
3. Sort: 'Recently Sold'
4. Look at last 5-10 actual sales
5. Median, not average — outliers throw off pricing

Watch-outs

• 'Best Offer accepted' shows asking price, not sale price (use buyer-side data if possible)
• Auction sniped at end can show low price (winner got lucky)
• BIN listings with 'Best Offer' may have hidden discounts
• 'Top Rated' sellers price 10-15% above market
• Avoid international sales for domestic pricing

Sale velocity signal

Velocity tells you supply/demand:

• 5+ sales/month = liquid, easy to price
• 1-4 sales/month = moderately liquid, wider price spread
• <1 sale/month = illiquid, use auction-discovery instead
