Slabs store differently from raw cards. Heat, UV, and pressure are the killers. Plan storage like collectibles, not memorabilia.

Target storage:

• Temperature 65-72°F
• Humidity 35-50%
• No direct sunlight (UV bleaches inks)
• No pressure stacking (slabs flex)
• Foam-lined cases or magnetic stands

Failure modes: UV fade (years), slab warp (heat), cracked slab (drop or stack pressure).

Display options

1. Magnetic acrylic stands — display, no UV protection
2. UV-protective acrylic cases — best for long-term display
3. Storage boxes (BCW slab box, Pelican) — bulk storage
4. Wall-mounted slab displays — heat-risk near HVAC vents
5. Safe deposit box — high-value, no display, max protection

4. USPS Priority Mail with signature + insurance

Never ship slabs in padded envelopes alone — pressure flex = cracked slab.
