| description | Compare multiple competitors or strategic alternatives to identify market structure, patterns, gaps, risks, and implications from current sourced evidence. Use for cross-company synthesis; use competitor-profile when the task is one company. |
Competitive intelligence
Turn comparable evidence into implications, not a feature-table beauty contest.
- Define decision, competitor set, market boundary, comparison dimensions, and freshness threshold.
- Normalize evidence into common fields and grade source quality.
- Compare customer, job, offering, pricing, positioning, proof, distribution, economics, and momentum as relevant.
- Identify clusters, outliers, convergence, gaps, and recent strategic moves.
- Test alternative interpretations and name missing evidence.
- Translate findings into threats, opportunities, no-regret actions, and monitoring signals.
Do not assume every difference is an advantage or repeat vendor claims as facts. Cite changing claims.
