Qiaomu shares qiaomu-obsidian-dev for developing and preparing Obsidian plugins for release, based on lessons from his own plugin work. The original post supplies the skills CLI installation command.
qiaomu-obsidian-dev
Develop, debug, review, test and release any Obsidian plugin with current native APIs and evidence-based engineering. Use for commands, editor extensions, custom views, search/indexing, import/export, sync/network integrations, media/reading, AI tools, settings, mobile compatibility and official releases. Also use for lifecycle, data, performance, race-condition and release failures. Exclude ordinary vault note writing, generic Markdown formatting, plugin recommendations, non-Obsidian app development, and skill authoring itself.

Qiaomu Obsidian Dev: develop and verify an Obsidian plugin
Guide a coding agent through researching, developing, diagnosing and releasing an Obsidian plugin. It connects native APIs, plugin architecture, testing in a real test vault and checks for public release assets.
Examples
The author’s README examples name Qiaomu Reader, Qiaomu AI RSS and Qiaomu Radio as projects that informed the workflow. They are source-reported cases, not SkillsMP test results.
Uses
Use it for commands, editor extensions, custom views, indexing, import/export, network integrations, media or AI features, and for lifecycle, data, performance or release failures. Ordinary note writing, generic Markdown formatting and plugin recommendations are outside its scope. New plugins and major features begin with research and an assessment; local fixes do not require a full repeat of that research.
Prerequisites
Use an Agent Skills-compatible coding tool. The README calls for Node.js LTS and a separate test vault. Prepare the actual plugin checkout and identify the version and vault to test; publication work also uses Git and GitHub CLI.
How to use
The README’s first request is to develop an Obsidian plugin, inspect official APIs and similar open-source projects, and present a differentiated assessment and recommended approach before development and verification. Unless implementation is already authorized, review that assessment first. Changes then run the project’s checks and are loaded into the designated test vault for real user interactions.
Limitations
This installs guidance for the agent; it does not install an Obsidian plugin. Build success, a public GitHub release, official review and marketplace availability are separate outcomes. Mobile compatibility still requires device evidence. The audit and public-download scripts inspect artifacts; host_eval.py executes supplied checks with full permissions inside the specified Obsidian QA vault. The README identifies GPL-3.0-only for this project and retains third-party licenses.
