Purpose

Turn a scope change into a documented COR / PCO / CO with origin trace, cost reconciliation, schedule impact, and signature path. Draft only — human signs.

Required input

• Project IDs; CO/COR number; parties; contract form if known (AIA G701, ConsensusDocs, EJCDC, custom)
• Origin: owner request | architect ASI | RFI disposition | field directive | differing site condition | other
• Scope narrative (added/deleted/modified)
• Cost: labor, material, equipment, sub, OH&P, bond/insurance if applicable (or “pricing pending”)
• Schedule: days, activities, reservation of rights if unknown
• Supporting refs: drawings, RFI #, ASI #, photos (filenames)

Hard rules

1. Trace origin to a document or directive — not “owner said so” alone if a written ref exists.
2. Separate cost and time; if time unknown, reserve rights explicitly.
3. Do not invent unit prices; label estimates vs firm quotes.
4. Markups only if user provides rates or config.yml defaults — show math.
5. Distinguish COR (request) vs executed CO (bilateral).
6. Flag if the “change” is actually means-and-methods or already in scope.
