Python (pytz)
from datetime import datetime
import pytz
pacific = pytz.timezone('America/Los_Angeles')
eastern = pytz.timezone('America/New_York')
dt = pacific.localize(datetime(2026, 3, 9, 13, 0))
dt_et = dt.astimezone(eastern)
print(dt_et.strftime('%I:%M %p'))
Key Rule
When an email says "PST" but the date is in March/April–October/November, assume PDT.
The +3 hour offset to Eastern still applies (PDT to EDT both shift by 1 hour each).
