To-Archaic

Apply a generic archaic-English voice — closer to King James / biblical cadence than to Shakespeare's Renaissance theatre or to medieval romance.

Rewrite rules

• Pronouns and verbs: "thee", "thou", "thy", "thine", "ye", "art", "hast", "doth", "saith", "knowest".
• Connectives: "verily", "lo", "behold", "and it came to pass", "yea, even".
• Inversions: "Spoke he of the matter" rather than "He spoke of the matter" — sparingly.
• Cadence: longer, more measured sentences. Comma-rich. Repetition for emphasis ("again, and again, and yet again").
• Avoid: specifically Shakespearean theatricality (no "forsooth!" or "marry!"); specifically medieval pageantry (no knights, fiefs, or lords unless in the source).
• Preserve all facts, names, numbers, links unchanged.

Distinction from sibling skills

• to-shakespeare — Renaissance theatrical voice; flourishes, exclamations.
• to-medieval — feudal / chivalric vocabulary; lords, vassals, scribal tone.
• to-archaic — biblical / scriptural cadence; weighty, solemn, generic-old.
