Token-efficient tracking for AI orchestration. CLI-first for status updates (~50 tokens), agent fallback for complex ops (~1KB). Use when: updating task status, querying blockers, creating progress files, validating phases.
AshAi extension guidelines for integrating AI capabilities with Ash Framework. Use when implementing vectorization/embeddings, exposing Ash actions as LLM tools, creating prompt-backed actions, or setting up MCP servers. Covers semantic search, LangChain integration, and structured outputs.
This skill should be used when solving hard questions, complex architectural problems, or debugging issues that benefit from GPT-5 Pro or GPT-5.1 thinking models with large file context. Use when standard Claude analysis needs deeper reasoning or extended context windows.

| description | STRIDE threat modeling before implementing security-sensitive features |
| triggers | ["threat","STRIDE","attack surface","security design","new API","new feature security","threat model"] |
| context_cost | medium |
Create a STRIDE threat model BEFORE implementing any security-sensitive feature. Prevents security issues at design time (cheapest point to fix) rather than after implementation (expensive) or in production (catastrophic).
Identify system components and trust boundaries
docs/architecture/)Apply STRIDE to each component
For each component (API endpoint, service, data store), systematically ask:
S — Spoofing (impersonation)
T — Tampering (data modification)
R — Repudiation (deny actions)
I — Information Disclosure (data leaks)
D — Denial of Service
E — Elevation of Privilege
Score each threat
| Factor | Low | Medium | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| Likelihood | Attacker needs special access/skills | Known exploit pattern exists | Trivial to exploit |
| Impact | Minor data exposure | User data compromised | All data, system compromise |
Priority = Likelihood × Impact (High×High = Critical)
Propose mitigations for High and Critical threats
| Threat | STRIDE | L | I | Priority | Mitigation |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stolen JWT allows impersonation | S | H | H | Critical | Short expiry (15min), refresh token rotation, token revocation list |
| IDOR on /users/{id} endpoint | I | M | H | High | Verify ownership: user.id === session.userId before returning |
| No rate limit on /auth/login | D | H | M | High | Max 5 attempts/min per IP, 3 per account, exponential backoff |

Create tasks for mitigations
Human review required
| Letter | Category | Question to ask |
|---|---|---|
| S | Spoofing | Who is claiming to be who, and how do we verify it? |
| T | Tampering | What data can be modified by unauthorized parties? |
| R | Repudiation | Can actions be denied? Are they logged immutably? |
| I | Information Disclosure | What can be leaked, and to whom? |
| D | Denial of Service | What can be exhausted, flooded, or blocked? |
| E | Elevation of Privilege | How can someone gain more access than intended? |
