Pool rebalances: You now have less ETH and more USDC
Pool value: ~$14,142

When IL is worth it:

REAL YIELD (sustainable):
- Trading fees from actual volume
- Lending interest from real borrowers
- Staking rewards from network inflation (protocol level)
- Protocol revenue shared with token holders
ARTIFICIAL YIELD (unsustainable):
- Token emissions (printing new tokens as rewards)
- Ponzi-like referral bonuses
- Unsustainable subsidies to attract TVL
- "Just trust us" yield with no clear source
Red flags for unsustainable yield:
- APY > 100% with no clear revenue source
- Yield paid in protocol's own token (often dumps in value)
- High yield that has been declining rapidly
- Protocol TVL growing faster than revenue
- Anonymous team with no track record
