| description | Turn a SaaS, app, product, startup, landing page, or website URL into ready-to-post sales content for X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, Product Hunt, Indie Hackers, launch posts, cold DMs, and founder updates. Use when the user provides a product URL and asks to write posts, sell the product, create social copy, promote a SaaS, generate platform-specific launch content, or gives a short instruction like "tono diretto e non cringe" / "direct, not cringe" with a link. |
Sell My SaaS
Core Behavior
When the user provides only a URL, automatically produce one post each for:
- X/Twitter
- LinkedIn
- Reddit
Do not ask clarifying questions unless the URL cannot be accessed and the page content is not available. Use sensible defaults:
- Tone: direct, useful, not hypey, not cringe.
- Language: match the user's language if they wrote any instruction; otherwise infer from the website's primary language. If uncertain, default to English and note that the posts can be translated.
- Goal: sell or drive interest without sounding spammy.
- Audience: infer from the product page.
- Output: ready-to-post copy, not a strategy essay.
When the user adds constraints such as platform, tone, audience, language, post count, or angle, follow those constraints instead of the defaults.
Website Intake
Use browsing or available page content to inspect the URL. Extract:
- Product name
- One-line value proposition
- Target customer
- Main pain or job-to-be-done
- Key features
- Concrete benefits and outcomes
- Proof points, numbers, testimonials, customers, integrations, or pricing if visible
- CTA URL or best call-to-action
If the website is thin, unclear, or inaccessible, say what is missing and generate conservative posts from the available information. Avoid inventing proof, metrics, customers, pricing, or testimonials.
Generation Workflow
- Build a short product brief from the page.
- Choose 2-4 viable sales angles.
- Pick the strongest angle for each requested platform.
- Write platform-native posts.
- Add a short "Why this works" note only when useful.
- If the user asked for variants, include A/B options and label the difference clearly.
For platform-specific rules, read references/platform-patterns.md when generating content.
Default Output Format
Use this shape for the default "URL only" case:
**Product Brief**
[2-4 bullets]
**X/Twitter**
[ready-to-post copy]
**LinkedIn**
[ready-to-post copy]
**Reddit**
[ready-to-post copy]
**Notes**
[1-3 bullets about assumptions, missing proof, or suggested next improvement]
Keep the posts distinct. Do not reuse the same copy with minor formatting changes.
Language Rules
- Italian user instruction -> write in Italian unless the user asks otherwise.
- English user instruction -> write in English unless the user asks otherwise.
- Mixed instruction -> choose the language of the actual request phrase.
- Website in a different language from the user instruction -> follow the user's instruction.
- For Reddit, preserve a natural conversational register in the chosen language; do not translate literally from a salesy English template.
Quality Bar
Posts must:
- Lead with the customer problem or outcome, not generic "we launched".
- Be specific about the product's value.
- Sound like a founder or builder talking to real users.
- Include a light CTA.
- Avoid exaggerated claims, fake social proof, empty superlatives, hashtag stuffing, and "AI employee" style hype unless the product truly uses that positioning.
Before finalizing, check:
- Would this get removed from Reddit as obvious promotion?
- Does X have a strong first line?
- Does LinkedIn have enough context to stand alone?
- Did you avoid inventing facts?
- Is the language natural for the user's requested tone?
