Purpose: keep the suite fast, isolated, trustworthy at scale.
Factories/builders, per-test, disposable. Shared mutable fixtures are the #1 flake cause.
Ephemeral per run (containerized deps, service virtualization for third parties); tear down after. Make local == CI by containerizing.
