# prometheus
Prometheus monitoring metric queries
## When to Activate
- Use **prometheus** from an MCP-aware client
- Monitoring tasks that prometheus supports
- Register prometheus via `claude mcp add` or `.mcp.json`
## Installation
prometheus is an MCP server (stdio transport). Register it with Claude Code:

claude mcp add prometheus -- npx @prometheus/mcp
```
Or add to `.mcp.json`:
