# TypeScript
- Prefer TypeScript over JavaScript. Strict mode always
- Avoid `any` (use `unknown`), prefer discriminated unions over enums, `readonly` for immutables
- Const by default, async/await over promise chains, optional chaining and nullish coalescing
- Never hardcode styles - use theme/config
