When to use

• A new cohort is admitted and needs mentors.

Steps

1. Diagnose each startup's two or three biggest gaps.
2. Profile the mentor pool by real, demonstrated strengths.
3. Match each gap to a mentor who has closed it before.
4. Check availability and any conflict of interest.
5. Set the cadence and the goal for the pairing.
