The classification decides the response time and it is set by risk, never by how the report was worded.
Immediate danger to life — exposed conductor, gas smell, structural collapse, flooding into a property. Dispatch now, and give the caller the make-safe instruction before ending the call.
Danger without immediacy — the trip hazard, the unlit stair, the leaning pole. Same day, with the area made safe.
Service affecting and cosmetic follow the published response classes.
Precise location, with an asset reference or a what3words if there is no address · what is wrong · when it started · whether anybody has been hurt · the access constraint — locked gate, livestock, a dog, restricted hours.
That last one is the field most often skipped and the commonest reason a crew returns without doing the work.
Downgrade because it has been reported before, or promise an attendance time outside the published class.
Work with messaging-channel bots — Telegram, Slack or Mattermost. Register a bot, route inbound messages through an agent, choose webhook vs polling, handle an @slug mention, or add a new channel adapter. Change the agent spec — add or remove a field, rename one, tighten a rule, bump SPEC_VERSION, change publish-time validation, or touch YAML export/import. Use whenever editing app/agents/spec.py or anything that reads a stored spec. Every published agent and every client git repository holds a copy of this format, so a change that only works forwards breaks agents nobody touched.
Work with MCP servers — connect one, add an entry to the server catalog, debug "the agent cannot see my MCP tools" or a failing OAuth flow, or change how connections are probed, prefixed or filtered.
