Daily News Pipeline

Overview

Operate the daily tech-news report flow with state-aware dedupe. Default to inspection and dry-run before execution.

Quick Start

1. Health check:

   ./scripts/news_pipeline_health_check.sh
   

2. Check whether report should run today:

   ./scripts/news_pipeline_should_run.sh
   

3. Dry-run pipeline:

   ./scripts/news_pipeline_run.sh
   

4. Execute pipeline and update state (only when ready):

   ./scripts/news_pipeline_run.sh --execute
   

Workflow

Step 1: Validate dependencies and script paths

• Ensure openclaw exists.
• Ensure report script exists and is executable.
• Confirm state file path for dedupe control.

Step 2: Evaluate dedupe state

• Read memory/heartbeat-state.json key lastNewsReport.
• Skip execution when already reported today unless --force.

Step 3: Run safely

• Use dry-run first.
• Use --execute only when checks pass.
• On success, update state to today.

Step 4: Verify outcome

• Check pipeline logs and command exit code.
• Re-check state file update.

Guardrails

• Do not execute report blindly when state says already sent.
• Keep --force for manual override only.
• Do not print secret values in logs or prompts.
