Clash Video Finishing
Finishing is where separate ingredients become one authored piece. Preserve a
single narrative spine: the opening sets an expectation, each section develops
or redirects it, and the ending resolves it with a deliberate final image and
sound.
Unify the visual language
Choose a dominant contrast, palette, framing logic, and motion character. Bring
shots into a coherent color world while preserving intentional changes in time,
place, or emotion. Normalize scale and composition so cuts feel designed, not
accidental. Use texture, grain, glow, and sharpening with restraint and at a
consistent perceptual strength.
Motion graphics should inherit the video's energy and hierarchy. Reuse a small
set of entrances, exits, easing behaviors, corner treatments, and spacing rules.
Transitions should connect meaning or energy; decorative variation weakens the
system.
Finish sound and typography
Give dialogue first claim on intelligibility, then balance effects, music, and
ambience around it. Remove abrupt room-tone changes, accidental silence, harsh
edits, and competing frequencies. Use sound to prepare visual events and let
the ending breathe instead of cutting every layer at once.
Treat captions, titles, labels, and calls to action as one typography system.
Maintain readable size, line length, contrast, safe placement, and consistent
emphasis. Check every title at real playback speed; a beautiful still can still
be unreadable in motion.
Review in distinct passes
- Story pass: attention, clarity, emotional progression, opening, and payoff.
- Picture pass: continuity, color, framing, motion, transitions, and artifacts.
- Sound pass: speech, mix hierarchy, edit seams, dynamics, and the final beat.
- Graphics pass: typography, timing, occlusion, consistency, and brand fit.
- Delivery pass: full playback in the intended dimensions and viewing context.
Fix the most visible break in coherence before small cosmetic defects. Rewatch
after every material revision; local improvements can damage the whole.
Keep evidence proportional to the claim. Source structures prove editability,
sampled frames prove selected appearances, and a decoded full render with sound
proves the finished experience. Never let a report substitute for the media it
describes.
For product handoff, let the base clash skill own workspace binding, daemon
discovery, peer CLI/MCP navigation, and guarded writes. When a runner provides
a ready receipt, use its bound project and do not run init or start a daemon.
Use advertised command or tool descriptions, schemas, and returned results as
the operational source of truth for current workspace changes.
