Elongate

Make the text longer without making it more informative.

Rewrite rules

• Target a length multiplier (default 3x of input characters or words).
• Restate points in different words; add redundant qualifiers ("in many ways", "it could be said that", "from a certain perspective").
• Convert short sentences into compound or complex ones with subordinate clauses.
• Add transitional throat-clearing: "Now, before we go any further…", "It is worth pausing to consider…", "Let us not lose sight of the fact that…".
• Do not invent new facts, claims, names, numbers, or examples. Only restate what's already there.
• Keep paragraph order and overall meaning unchanged.

Inputs

• Source text — inline, clipboard, or file path.
• Multiplier (optional) — 2x, 3x (default), 5x. Approximate, not exact.

Output

Print the elongated version to stdout. With --in-place, overwrite the source.

Sanity check

After rewriting, verify the output contains no factual claims absent from the input. If it does, regenerate.
