# Session logging Keep entries minimal — what was done, not a chat dump. ## Paths Vault: `/home/wardn/Apps/Obsidian/Cloud/Cloud` | Kind | Path | |------|------| | Project engineering | `Logs/Engineering/<project>/YYYY-MM-DD/<name>.md` | | Agent session | `Logs/AI-Agent/Sessions/YYYY-MM-DD/<name>.md` | Derive `<project>` from the repo basename when sensible (e.g. `dotfiles`). ## Write 1. `mkdir -p` the day folder. 2. Create a **new** `.md` file with a descriptive kebab-case name. 3. Pretty markdown; a few bullets max. ```markdown # Short title - What changed / was decided - Where (paths, PR URLs) if useful ``` ## CLI vs filesystem - Prefer `obsidian` CLI when `obsidian version` works. - If CLI is off ("Command line interface is not enabled"), write files directly under the vault path. Mention once per session. - Abort after 5 failed attempts.
