| description | Generate 5–7 unique angles for a newsletter issue using SCAMPER and contrarian frameworks. Use when the user wants newsletter topic ideas, doesn't know what to write about, or wants fresh angles on a subject. |
Ask the user: "What's the general topic area or theme for this issue? Any audience context (e.g. 'PMs at enterprise companies')?"
Then generate 7 angles using different lenses:
Newsletter Angles: [Topic]
For each angle give:
- Headline (the actual title you'd use — make it specific and compelling)
- Core argument (one sentence — what claim does this issue make?)
- Why it's interesting now (what makes this timely or counterintuitive?)
- Opening hook (one sentence to start the piece)
Angle 1 — Contrarian take
Challenge the consensus view on this topic.
Angle 2 — Data/trend
Anchor to a specific number, stat, or pattern you've noticed.
Angle 3 — Story first
Open with a specific person, company, or moment. Build the lesson out of it.
Angle 4 — Practical how-to
The reader finishes with one thing they can do this week.
Angle 5 — Prediction
Make a specific, falsifiable claim about where this is heading.
Angle 6 — Curated roundup
5 things you've read, noticed, or heard on this topic — with a unifying thread.
Angle 7 — Personal reflection
What you got wrong, changed your mind on, or are still figuring out.
End by asking: "Which angle resonates? I can write the full outline for any of these."
