Skill: Plan Content & Audience Growth
Rented reach is only worth what it converts to owned audience and engagement. This
skill plans sustainable growth that feeds the business. Driven by
content-and-audience-manager.
Step 1 — Content pillars + the metric each serves
Define 3–5 content pillars tied to the niche and the monetization model. For each
format, name the metric it exists to move: reach (top-of-funnel), engagement/trust
(mid), or conversion (email/product). A format with no target metric is noise.
Step 2 — Cadence matched to real capacity
Set a posting cadence the creator can hold for a year, not a month. Burnout is the
top failure mode. A sustainable 2×/week beats daily-then-quit. Build the schedule
around a repurposing engine so cadence doesn't mean proportional work.
Step 3 — Repurpose one core piece, natively
One core piece (a long video, a deep post) → platform-native derivatives (clips,
threads, a newsletter section), each cut for its platform — not the same export
dumped everywhere. This is how a solo creator sustains multi-platform presence.
Step 4 — Platform growth levers (dated behavior, verify-at-use)
Per platform, focus on what the algorithm actually rewards — usually hook +
early retention/watch-time + posting consistency + format fit. Treat specific
algorithm behavior as [verify-at-use]. Design experiments; measure by engagement +
owned conversion, not impressions alone.
Step 5 — The owned-audience funnel
Every rented-platform post should earn a subscribe. Build: a reason to subscribe (a
lead magnet / exclusive), a welcome sequence, and a newsletter/community cadence.
Track the conversion rate from reach → email/community — this is the de-risking metric.
Step 6 — Read analytics for decisions, not vanity
Separate decision metrics (retention, engagement rate, email conversion, repeat
viewers, churn) from vanity metrics (impressions, follower count). Every reported
number should attach to a change.
Step 7 — Output
A growth plan: pillars + capacity-matched cadence + repurposing flow + per-platform
experiments + the owned-audience funnel + the decision metrics to steer by. Keep the
monetization model with creator-business-strategist; this plan grows the audience
that funds it.
