Auction House Comparison
Each auction house has a different audience and fee structure. Match the card to the venue.
Venue map
| Venue | Best for | Seller fee | Avg time |
|---|
| Goldin Auctions | High-end sports, $5K+ | 0% (buyer's premium) | 4-6 weeks |
| PWCC | Modern Pokemon, sports, $100+ | Tiered 0-20% | 2-4 weeks |
| Heritage | Vintage premier sports | 0% (buyer's premium) | 6-8 weeks |
| Fanatics Collect | Modern sports, breaks audience | Tiered | 2-3 weeks |
| eBay (BIN) | Anything <$1K | 10-13% | Hours-days |
| eBay Auction | $100-1K, time-sensitive | 10-13% | 7 days |
| Whatnot Live | Modern bulk, breakers | 8% | Live |
Buyer's premium impact
Goldin/Heritage charge 20%+ buyer's premium. A $1,000 hammer = $1,200 buyer cost. Sellers net ~$1,000 (no seller fee). On eBay, $1,000 sale = ~$880 to seller after fee. Goldin/Heritage net better for high-end.
Time-to-sell tradeoff
Fast sale (eBay BIN) costs ~10-15% in price vs auction discovery. For cards where comp data is thin or 1-of-1, auction discovery on Goldin/PWCC gets the right price.
