Title Tag Craftsmanship
Title tag: 50-60 chars, primary keyword near front, brand at end, action verb when relevant. Drives both rank and CTR.
Title tag formula
[Primary keyword] | [Modifier or benefit] | [Brand]
Examples:
Card Grading Service | AI-Powered Pre-Grade | CardPrepAI
PSA vs BGS: Which is Better in 2026? | CardPrepAI
Submit Pokemon Cards for Grading | CardPrepAI
Use pipe (|) or em-dash (—) as separator. Keep brand for recognition.
Length discipline
Optimal: 50-60 characters. Google truncates at ~60 on desktop, 50 on mobile.
Minimum: 30 chars (looks thin, low CTR).
Maximum: 70 chars (truncated, looks like keyword stuffing).
Test in SERP preview tool before publishing.
CTR optimization
Higher CTR keywords:
- Numbers ('Top 5...', '3 Best...')
- Year ('2026 Guide')
- Power words ('Best', 'Free', 'Easy', 'Quick')
- Brackets ('[Updated]', '[Free]')
- Questions ('Is PSA Worth It?')
- Specific benefits ('30-Second Grading')
