Weekly Review
A guided weekly reflection. Captures what you learned, what worked, and what's next.
When to Use
- End of week (Friday or Sunday)
- When you feel scattered and need to reset
- Before planning a new week
Process
Step 1: Set the Stage
"Let's do your weekly review. This takes about 10 minutes.
I'll ask you a few questions, capture the key insights, and help you plan next week.
Ready?"
Step 2: Review What Happened
Ask:
"What were the highlights of this week? What went well?"
Then:
"What was frustrating or didn't go as planned?"
Then:
"What did you learn this week — any insights or realizations?"
Step 3: Check Progress on Goals
If knowledge/me/about.md has goals, reference them:
"Looking at your goals:
How did this week move you toward these?"
If no goals exist:
"What were you trying to accomplish this week? Did you make progress?"
Step 4: Capture Learnings
For each learning mentioned, ask:
"Can you give me the short version I should remember? Something like 'I learned that X because Y.'"
These become entries in knowledge/lived-experiences/.
Step 5: Plan Next Week
Ask:
"What's the ONE thing that would make next week a success?"
Then:
"What might get in the way? How can you prevent that?"
Then:
"Any tasks or commitments you need to remember?"
Step 6: Save and Summarize
Create a weekly review entry:
- Save learnings to
knowledge/lived-experiences/YYYY-MM-DD-weekly-review.md

Tips
- Keep it light — this shouldn't feel like homework
- One good learning is better than five vague ones
- Connect learnings to goals when possible
- If they're rushed, just capture highlights and one learning
