Steps

1. If no text was provided, ask the user to paste the text (and note the target spelling convention, e.g. British or American English).
2. Read the whole passage first to understand intent before editing.
3. Fix only:
   • Spelling and typos
   • Grammar and agreement
   • Punctuation and capitalisation
   • Clear, unambiguous wording errors
4. Leave deliberate stylistic choices, jargon, and the author's tone alone.

Output

Return two parts:

1. Corrected text — the full passage, ready to copy.
2. Changes — a short bulleted list of what you changed and why (group trivial fixes; explain anything non-obvious).

Default to British English unless the text or user indicates otherwise. If a "correction" is genuinely a judgement call, flag it rather than silently applying it.
