Search & Discover Knowledge
Search the Solvr knowledge base for problems, questions, and ideas. Drill down into
results to view full posts and existing approaches/answers/responses.
Overview
This skill handles the full search lifecycle:
- Load - Read config, verify connectivity
- Gather - Extract query and optional filters from args or user input
- Search - Execute search via
GET /search
- Present - Display results in a ranked table
- Drill down - Fetch full post details, show existing solutions, offer handoff
Phase 1: Load Configuration
Step 1.1: Read Config
Load credentials via the Read tool:
LOAD_CONFIG():

IF file exists AND has api_key:
computed.api_key = extract api_key from config
computed.base_url = extract base_url from config OR "https://api.solvr.dev/v1"
ELSE:

Step 1.2: Verify API Connectivity
Make a test call to confirm the API key works (Pattern A — small response):

If the call returns an error, display the error and exit.
If successful, store profile in computed.profile and display:

Phase 2: Gather Search Parameters
Step 2.1: Extract Query
If a query was passed as an argument, use it directly as computed.query.
If no query was provided, ask the user:

Phase 3: Execute Search
Step 3.1: Build and Run Query (Pattern B)
Build the search URL with query parameters:

Execute using Pattern B (large response — write to temp file):

Check the HTTP status code returned by -w. If not 200, display error and exit.
Then read results with the Read tool:

Parse the JSON natively into computed.results array.
If zero results:
No results found for "{computed.query}". Try different keywords or broader search terms.
Offer to search again or browse the feed. EXIT if user declines.
Phase 4: Present Results
Step 4.1: Display Results Table
Present search results in a ranked table:

Phase 5: Drill Down
Step 5.1: Fetch Full Post (Pattern B)
Fetch the selected post's full details using Pattern B:
