# LightBurn job
1. Read [references/lightburn.md](references/lightburn.md) and [references/operator-checklist.md](references/operator-checklist.md).
2. Never silently select a machine or recipe.
3. Run `scripts/lightburn-job preflight JOB_DIR --production`. Stop on any critical finding.
4. Run `scripts/lightburn-job lightburn handoff JOB_DIR --output-dir DIR`.
5. Inspect the derived import file and `layers.csv`. Confirm physical dimensions, actual RGB-to-C-layer mapping, all etch operations, and disabled reference rows inside LightBurn.
6. Use a LightBurn-authored template and Material Library as settings carriers; do not author `.lbrn2` internals. For raster/photo etches, explicitly confirm image mode, interval/DPI, scan direction, and overscan from an eligible recipe.
7. Keep network actions dry-run unless the user explicitly requests `--execute`. Only ping, status, select device, load, or import. Never start, fire, force-load, or close LightBurn.
8. Require LightBurn Preview, framing, ventilation, focus, and supervision before operator-controlled output.
