English to Simplified Chinese EPUB Pipeline / 英文到简体中文 EPUB 流水线

Use this skill after books/scripts/create_book_project.py has copied template/epub_pipeline/common and overlaid template/epub_pipeline/English-to-Simplified-Chinese into books/zh-Hans/{number}_{目标语言书名}_{目标语言作者名}/.

使用本 skill 前，应先通过 books/scripts/create_book_project.py 把 template/epub_pipeline/common 复制到 books/zh-Hans/{number}_{目标语言书名}_{目标语言作者名}/，再覆盖复制 template/epub_pipeline/English-to-Simplified-Chinese。

Translation Standard / 翻译标准

• Preserve the source meaning, facts, tone, narrative stance, and structure.

• 保留原文意思、事实、语气、叙述姿态和结构。

• Write natural Simplified Chinese, not English syntax with Chinese words.

• 写自然的简体中文，不要写成中文词语套英文句法。

• In the translation call itself, use a slim prompt and output only translation text. Keep release, EPUB, lint, QA, and versioning rules in later workflow nodes.

• 翻译调用本身必须使用瘦身 prompt，并且只输出译文。release、EPUB、lint、QA 和版本化规则留给后续流程节点。

• Natural Chinese prose is the first hard constraint during translation. A faithful sentence that reads like English syntax or a breathless long sentence is not acceptable.

• 翻译阶段第一硬约束是自然中文正文。忠实但像英文句法、或长到读不动的句子，不可接受。

• Improve readability through Chinese expression, but do not add metaphors, sounds, facts, or emotions not supported by the source.

• 可以通过中文表达提升可读性，但不得添加原文没有依据的比喻、声音、事实或情绪。

• Avoid over-compressed "outline-like" Chinese.

• 避免把中文压缩成提纲式表达。

• Keep names, places, dates, numbers, and recurring terms consistent.

• 人名、地名、年代、数字和反复出现的术语必须一致。

• Distinguish term control levels: locked terms must stay fixed, preferred terms may use natural contextual variants, avoid terms are forbidden, and note_only terms belong in notes/glossary rather than body prose.

• 区分术语控制级别：locked 必须固定，preferred 可按上下文自然变体，avoid 禁用，note_only 只放译注/术语表，不压进正文。

• Do not mechanically convert English printed-TOC title chains using -- into Chinese —— chains. When needed, split them into a short navigation title, display title, and subtitle.

• 不得把英文纸书目录式 -- 标题链机械转换成中文 —— 链。必要时必须拆成短目录题名、页面主标题和副标题。

• Important proper nouns must follow glossary/proper_nouns.csv and references/proper_noun_display_policy.md. If the user does not set a value, use policy 3: first natural body occurrence as translated name plus source in parentheses, then translated name. Title occurrences do not count as first body occurrences.

• 重点专有名词必须遵守 glossary/proper_nouns.csv 和 。用户未设置时使用策略 ：第一次正文自然出现写译名加原文括注，后续使用译名。标题中的出现不计入正文首次出现。

Required Gates / 必要门禁

• Rights check must pass before translation.

• 版权核查通过后才能翻译。

• Book-specific research and style profile must exist before trial translation.

• 试译前必须有本书专项研究和文体画像。

• Pretranslation report must say PASS before batch translation.

• 预翻译报告必须 PASS 后才能批量翻译。

• After each canonical chapter patch is merged, immediately run the chapter-scoped immutable full check. It must cover metadata, nav, table of contents, body text, notes, figures, formulas, tables, images, styles, reader-facing content, plain-language clarity without flattening specialist quality, readability, polishing, terminology, and annotations. Do not limit the check to items named by the user. A fix round must be FIXED_RECHECK_REQUIRED; only a later sealed PASS binding exact ordered units and the current chapter digest may promote that chapter. Other independently owned chapters may continue under the adaptive plan.

• 每个 canonical 章节 patch 合并后，必须立即执行按章不可变全量检查。范围必须覆盖 metadata、nav、目录、正文、注释、图表、公式、表格、图片、样式、读者可见内容、通俗化、可读性、润色、名词术语和注释等，不得只检查用户点名项目。修复轮只能记为 FIXED_RECHECK_REQUIRED；只有随后绑定精确有序 unit 和当前 chapter digest 的密封 PASS 才能放行该章。其他独立 owner 的章节可按自适应计划继续。

• Chapter control must record Chinese-only readability scoring and a 20-sentence read-aloud test before source calibration. Chinese score below 4/5, more than one awkward sentence, or breathless key sentences blocks progress.

• 章节控制必须先记录只看中文的可读性评分和 20 句朗读测试，再做原文校准。中文评分低于 4/5、明显拗口超过 1 句或关键句不断气时，不得继续。

• Every translated chapter must pass chapter control, fidelity review, readability review, terminology review, imagery audit when relevant, and final chapter gate.

• 每章译文必须通过译后控制、忠实度审校、可读性审校、术语审校、必要时的意象词审计，以及最终章节门禁。

• Before EPUB build, run node scripts/publication_lint.js --target=zh-Hans --write-report; fix semicolon overuse, abnormal Chinese spacing, legacy print page-number tables, and mojibake before continuing.

• EPUB 构建前必须运行 node scripts/publication_lint.js --target=zh-Hans --write-report；如果发现分号滥用、中文异常空格、旧纸书页码目录、乱码或 targetTitleLatinResidue，必须先修复再继续。

• Before final EPUB output, verify chapter headings against references/english_chapter_title_strategy.md and references/title_punctuation_and_heading_style.md.

• 最终 EPUB 输出前，必须按 references/english_chapter_title_strategy.md 和 检查章节标题。

随机抽检同类问题全书审计 / Book-Wide Similar-Issue Audit

随机抽检一旦发现任何需要修复或可能系统性复现的问题，包括但不限于 P0/P1/P2、单项 <80、读者不可理解、事实/术语/图表/公式/注释错误，或本模板硬门禁失败，主执行 AI 不得只修被抽中的样本，也不得等到第二轮才全书检查。必须先把发现归纳为问题族，再对整本读者可见书稿执行全书同类问题审计，覆盖 chapters/final/、frontmatter、metadata、nav、表格、图片、公式、图注、注释和生成 EPUB 中相应 XHTML；修复所有确认命中，记录合理例外，并在该轮 fix_log.md 与 closure_check.md 中关闭该问题族后，才能使用新 seed 复抽。

若该轮发现译文质量问题族，还必须在 fix_log.md 填写 translation_quality_skill_backfill: "UPDATED" 或 "MERGED"、translation_quality_skill_backfill_path: "skills/translation-quality-defect-families/SKILL.md" 和回填摘要，并在 closure_check.md 填写 translation_quality_skill_backfill_verified: true；若仅有非译文质量问题，必须填写 NOT_APPLICABLE 和具体理由。

If a random sample exposes any issue that needs correction or may recur systemically, treat it as a possible systemic defect family immediately in the current round. Audit the whole reader-facing book for similar cases, fix all confirmed matches, document justified exceptions, and close the family in the same round before a new-seed resample.

译文质量问题族沉淀 / Translation-Quality Defect Family Backfill

凡发现可复现的译文质量问题族，包括忠实度、中文顺读、术语、标题/小标题、注释、图表文字接口、源语句法残留、过硬过直句、短句切断、比喻自撞、排比标点拖拽、代词指代不清、过度解释或加戏等，必须使用 skills/translation-quality-defect-families/SKILL.md。先在具体书籍工程完成证据记录、同类审计、修复和复查；再把可复用经验合并回填到该 skill，已有同族条目时更新归纳，不盲目重复追加。

When a recurring translation-quality defect family is found, use skills/translation-quality-defect-families/SKILL.md. Close the evidence, similar-case audit, fixes, and recheck in the book project first; then merge only reusable lessons into the skill.

Expert Translation Quality / 专家级译文质量

Translation, chapter controls, independent review, random spot-checks, final artifact review, private-use artifact review, and reader-feedback fixes must use skills/expert-translation-quality/SKILL.md when expert-level prose, context-dependent word choice, or polysemy back-checking matters. Recurring concrete defects still belong in skills/translation-quality-defect-families/SKILL.md.

翻译、章节 control、独立审校、随机抽检、最终产物审阅、private-use 产物审阅和读者反馈修复中，只要涉及专家级译文、上下文依赖选义或多义词回看，必须使用 skills/expert-translation-quality/SKILL.md。具体复发坏例仍沉淀到 skills/translation-quality-defect-families/SKILL.md。
