Competitor Analysis
See what competitors run so you can position against it, not copy it. Reads and research only; this does not spend money.
1. Find what they run
Use public_ad_library_intelligence where available for live and recent competitor creative, and web research for offers, landing pages, and positioning. Focus on what is running now and what has run long enough to imply it works.
2. Read the pattern, not the pixels
- Angles: what problem they lead with, what proof they show, what objection they answer.
- Offers: price framing, trial, guarantee, urgency.
- Formats and platforms: where they concentrate and where they are absent (absence is opportunity).
- Longevity: creative running for months is a signal; a one-week test is not.
3. Turn it into your move
- Where they are strong, differentiate on a real advantage, do not match message for message.
- Where they are absent (a platform, an audience, an angle), that is open ground.
- On search, competitor brand terms and the same auctions may be worth contesting; weigh cost against intent.
Rules
- Inform strategy; never copy creative or claims. Copying inherits their weaknesses and risks trademark issues.
- Separate what is proven (long-running, repeated) from what is a test.
- Report the angles and gaps you found and the specific move you would make, then take it to the creative or launch skill.
