Design critique
When to use: Reviewing flows, components, microcopy, or rough mocks for usability and clarity.
Method
- Audience & goal — Who uses this and what success looks like.
- Hierarchy — Primary action obvious? Secondary actions discoverable but calm?
- Accessibility — Contrast, focus order, labels (not icon-only mystery meat).
- Copy — Specific verbs; avoid jargon unless users expect it.
- Feedback — Max three must-fix, then nice-to-have. Tie each to user impact.
Avoid purely subjective taste unless tied to measurable usability.
