# AutoAcad Ideate
## Overview
Use this stage after literature synthesis and before committing to implementation. The goal is to produce falsifiable claims, not vague novelty language.
## Workflow
1. Translate literature gaps into 2-4 prioritized research questions.
2. Generate falsifiable hypotheses. Each hypothesis must define: rationale, measurable prediction, and failure condition.
3. Pressure-test the contribution shape:
- What is the 1-2 idea core?
- Which claim requires the strongest evidence?
- Which claim can be dropped if evidence is weak?
4. Decide whether the work is a refine, a pivot, or a dead end.
5. Record the chosen claim set and version it in `PROGRESS.md`.
## Output Standard
Every proposed contribution must map to at least one planned experiment and one section of the paper.
