| description | Create or update a sourced profile of one named competitor covering facts, product, pricing, positioning, customers, distribution, evidence, changes, strengths, and weaknesses. Use for a single-company dossier; use competitive-intelligence for cross-competitor synthesis. |
Competitor profile
Build a current, source-backed dossier and make uncertainty visible.
- Confirm competitor identity, market boundary, decision, geography, and freshness requirement.
- Collect primary sources first: official site/docs, pricing, filings, product, announcements, and public customer evidence.
- Record source date and distinguish company claims from independently supported facts.
- Profile offering, target customer, positioning, pricing, route to market, proof, partnerships, strengths, weaknesses, and recent changes.
- Separate observation from inference and identify unanswered questions.
- Compare with the focal business only on explicit dimensions.
Do not infer private revenue, customers, roadmap, or performance without evidence.
