laser-calibrate

Generate and record kerf, fit, focus, line interval, speed/power, scan-offset, and engraving-depth calibration artifacts for laser machines and material batches. Use when process evidence is missing, expired, incompatible, or needs measured refinement.

# Laser calibrate 1. Read [references/calibration.md](references/calibration.md). 2. Ask for the target machine, exact material/batch, thickness, lens/focus, and calibration objective. 3. Generate a dimensioned coupon with `scripts/laser-calibrate calibrate KIND --output-dir DIR`. 4. Keep settings as placeholders until the operator supplies safe bounded test parameters. 5. Ingest measured results with `scripts/laser-calibrate calibrate record RESULTS --profile-dir DIR`. 6. Default evidence to `calibrated`. Require explicit operator acknowledgement before any separate promotion to `verified-production`. 7. Never promise a cut or depth from nominal wattage and never start a machine.
